2006 ACURA GIVEAWAY - One Year Lease – OFFICIAL RULES These Rules apply to the 2006 Acura Giveaway (“Sweepstakes”) conducted by American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Acura Division, 1919 Torrance Blvd. Torrance, CA 90501-2746. Sponsored by American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Acura Division, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents (collectively “Co-Sponsor”) that will begin on September 6, 2006 and run through September 8, 2006. By entering you agree to be bound by these Rules. Sweepstakes is open to entrants who are 21 years of age or older. All employees of Sponsor and the Co-Sponsor dealing with this Sweepstakes and those domiciled with such employees and members of their immediate family are not eligible. 1. TO ENTER. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE CHANCES OF WINNING. All eligible and current, Sponsor-Affiliated Club Members participating in the Country Club & Resort Team Championship at Pinehurst will automatically be entered one time in this Sweepstakes on September 7, 2006. If you are not automatically entered or you wish to enter by mail, you may enter as many times as you like via mail by: hand-printing your name, age, complete address with zip code, and daytime phone number on a 3"x5" card/paper and mailing it in a first class postage paid envelope to: Pinehurst Resort & Country Club, Attn; Acura Giveaway, Carolina Vista Rd. Village of Pinehurst, NC 28374. Entries must be postmarked by September 7, 2006 and received by September 8, 2006. Only one entry per envelope will be accepted. No other form of entry is permitted except as provided above. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules. All entries become the property of the Sponsor, and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor will not be responsible or liable for incomplete, lost, stolen, illegible, misdirected, late, postage-due or incomplete entries. Photocopied, mechanically produced, or computer generated entries will not be accepted. 2. Grand Prize Winner: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be drawn from entries at Pinehurst on September 8, 2006. The Winner must be present to win. The Winner will have the use of a new Acura through a one-year lease provided by American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Acura Division. The maximum value of a one-year lease is approximately twelve thousand dollars ($12,000.00). Vehicle will be delivered and winner will pick up vehicle at mutually agreed Acura dealership near winner’s home. Prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted for cash or for an alternate prize, but Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value, if advertised prize become unavailable for any reason. Winner may waive his or her right to receive a prize. Winner must provide their social security number to Sponsor for tax reporting purposes, complete a W-9 form and pay the respective gift taxes associated with the prize. Winner may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and compliance with Sweepstakes Rules and a liability and publicity release. In the event that the Grand Prize Winner cannot be reached within 30-days of the date of the selection, or in the event that the Grand Prize Winner is ineligible to win the sweepstakes, or declines or waives his or her right to receive the prize, Sponsor will choose another Finalist or Grand Prize winner by random selection of remaining from all valid entries for a Finalist prize or from all remaining eligible Finalists for the Grand Prize and notify that winner that he or she is the Grand winner in the same manner provided above, and that he or she is subject to all of the terms and conditions of the Sweepstakes and these rules. All taxes and other associated costs/fees on prizes won are the sole responsibility of the winner, and winner Failure to execute and return any requested documents within 30 days of attempted delivery of same, or the return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable will result in the awarding of prize to an alternate winner. 3. By entering, entrants release and hold harmless Sponsor and the American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Acura Division, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents (collectively “Co-Sponsor”) from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Sweepstakes or any prize won. 4. Use of Entrant Information: Entry constitutes permission to post winner’s names in Private Clubs magazine and to use winner’s name, hometown, and likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Except as required by law, Sponsor will not share entrant information with third parties. Sponsor may contact entrants in the future with offers it feels may be of interest. Please read the full statement of Sponsor’s privacy policies. 5. General Conditions: The Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States. It is void where prohibited, and in all other countries. The odds of winning depend upon the number of entries. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Sponsor or Co-Sponsor may terminate the Sweepstakes or decide to modify it in any manner which it deems fair and equitable to entrants if it becomes aware of any occurrence which would materially affect the Sweepstakes security or fairness. Sponsor may prohibit individuals from participating in the Sweepstakes and disqualify entries if they (1) attempt to enter the Sweepstakes through any means other than as described in these Rules, (2) attempt to disrupt the Sweepstakes or circumvent the terms and conditions of these Rules in any way of (3) repeatedly show a disregard for the Sweepstakes Rules or act (a) in an unsportsmanlike manner, or (b) with an intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsor.
